Clifford Chance partner Simon Gleeson, whose new book 'The Legal Concept of Money' has been published by Oxford University Press, discussed some key questions such as: does money need a Government, what do we mean by money, can Cryptocurrencies become money, and why does it matter? Patrick Jenkins, Financial Editor of the FT chaired the discussion was. He was joined by Professor Rosa Lastra of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London and Professor David Fox, Chair of Common Law at the University of Edinburgh who have recently co-written the book 'Cryptocurrencies in Public and Private Law'.
